Defining intelligence

In our quest to develop our minds we need a roadmap of the areas to work on, for that we need to clearly define what intelligence is.

From the wikipedia (it was the most comprehensive source I could find) [1]
Intelligence has been defined in many different ways including as one's capacity for logicunderstandingself-awarenesslearningemotional knowledgeplanningcreativity and problem solving. It can be more generally described as the ability to perceive information, and to retain it as knowledge to be applied towards adaptive behaviors within an environment or context.
Human intelligence is the intellectual capacity of humans, which is characterized by perceptionconsciousnessself-awareness, and volition. Intelligence enables humans to remember descriptions of things and use those descriptions in future behaviors. It is a cognitive process. It gives humans the cognitive abilities to learnform conceptsunderstand, and reason, including the capacities to recognize patterns, comprehend ideas, planproblem solve, and use language to communicate. Intelligence enables humans to experience and think.
So, the areas to work on, would be initially:

  • logic
  • understanding
  • self-awareness
  • learning
  • emotional knowledge (emotional intelligence)
  • planning
  • creativity
  • problem solving
  • perception
  • memory
  • the capacity to apply knowledge
  • the capacity to adapt to an environment or context
  • volition
  • reason (think smartly)
  • conceptualization
  • pattern recognition
  • language and communication

Each of these should be pondered, categorized and they may be streamlined a little, as there might be some overlapping.

I think we could discuss this resource, given a little time for us to study:

  1. se ve bueno... pero el video cuesta 199 usd... o la membresia 20 usd por mes.... aunque podriamos aprovechar el primer mes de free trial?

  2. Tengo los videos en formato libre, déjame ver dónde ponerlos para compartirlos, porque pesan mucho.
